TAAN Model Trek (Machhapuchhre Trek)

If you are looking for a fresh trekking trail that offers you captivating views of mountain ranges, rich vegetation along with the culture and lifestyle of the ethnic dwellers then this is just the perfect one for you.

This trail was identified and developed by TAAN western Regional Capture Pokhara with the role objective of promoting Pokhara and its surrounding areas.

As this trail traverses through five major village development committees. you will have numerous choices of trekking and hiking activities. One of the highlights of this trekking is the lenght of the trekking can be decided by the trekker's as per their interest and time frame that is 5 days / 10 days trek . There are two options for the trekkers choosing 10 days trekking on this route.

Trip Itinerary

Day 1 Drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara. Stay overnight at hotel in Pokhara.
Day 2  Trek from Pokhara to Lachok to Ribhan. Stay overnight in camps. 
Day 3  Trek from Ribhan to Odane Hill to Chichimle Kharka. Stay overnight in camp. 
Day 4 Trek from Chichimle Kharka to Chichimle Kharka to Khumai. Stay overnight in camp. 
Day 5 Trek from Khumai to Korchung and then to Kharka. Stay overnight in camp.
Day 6 Trek from Kharka to Gibli, the days trek end in Takra. Stay overnight in camp. 
Day 7 Trek from Takra to Imu. From Imu you trek to Kwiwan and stop for the night at Lwanghalel. Stay overnight in camp. 
Day 8 Your trail from Lwanghale leads you to Mardi Pool. Stay overnight in camp. 
Day 9 Trek from Mardi Pool back to Pokhara. Stay overnight at hotel in Pokhara.
Day 10  Drive from Pokhara to Kathmandu.

Day 1 Drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara. Stay overnight at hotel in Pokhara. 
Day 2  Trek from Pokhara to Ribhan. Stay overnight in camp. 
Day 3  You follow the trail from Ribhan to Khumai. Stay overnight camp. 
Day 4 Trek from Khumai to Pokhara via Korchung. Stay overnight at hotel in Pokhara. 
Day 5 Drive back to Kathmandu from Pokhara.

Detailed Itinerary (10 Days)
Day 1 Drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara. Stay overnight at hotel in Pokhara. 
Day 2  Your trek begins from Pokhara to Ghachok and end the days trek in Hile. Stay overnight in camp. 
Day 3  From Hile you trek to Kumai. Stay overnight in camp.
Day 4 The day ttail leads you from Kumai to Korchung and finally to Kharka. You camp for the night in Kharka.
Day 5 Trek from Kharka to Pipar. Stay overnight in camp.
 
Day 6 Trek from Pipar to reach napping area. Stay overnight in camp. 
Day 7 This day your trail takes you from Pipar to Karuwa. Stay overnight in camp. 
Day 8 From Karuwa, you trek to Ghiprang and then reach Ghachok. Stay overnight in camp. 
Day 9 Trek from Ghachok to Mardi Pool and finally back to Pokhara. Stay overnight at hotel in Pokhara. 
Day 10  Drive from Pokhara to Kathmandu.

Day 2  You trek from Pokhara to Hile. Stay overnight in camp. 
Day 3  This day your trail leads you from Hile to Khumai. Stay overnight in camp. 
Day 4 Today's trekking takes you from Khumai to Korchung, Kharka, Pipar, Karuwa, Ghiprang, Ghachok and Mardi Pool and finally reach Pokhara. Stay overnight at hotel in Pokhara.
Day 5 Drive from Pokhara to Kathmandu.
